Why Donate?

One person has the power to save up to 8 lives through organ donation

When Laveeda made the decision to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor, little did she know the ripple effect of that decision on her own family. Her decision inspired her nephew, Aundra, to register his donation decision, too.

Unfortunately, in 2012, he was involved in a car accident that took his life. While he was able to donate his corneas and several organs, one of the recipients was Laveeda’s niece, who had been waiting for a kidney transplant. Laveeda and her family honor her nephew’s selfless decision while sharing in her niece’s gratitude for this lifesaving gift.
